Sun Announces New Chief Operating Officer, and New Director of Corporate Affairs and Legal DALLAS, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Apr 16, 2008 -- SUN Sports and Entertainment Inc. (Other OTC:SUNR.PK - News) announced today the addition of Clyde Gentry III as Chief Operating Officer and Bruce Scambler as Director of Corporate Affairs and Legal. In 2000, he authored the first book on the history of the sport, NO HOLDS BARRED, which has been published multiple times. In 2001, he became Editor in Chief of ULTIMATE ATHLETE, a feature magazine on the sport. After matchmaking three events under the UA banner, Mr. Gentry co-produced VENOM, a new concept for the sport in conjunction with John "Spider" Salley of NBA fame. In 2005, he co-produced FREEDOM FIGHT 2005: USA vs. Canada, the first prime time event to ever air in North America. Mr. Gentry also authored the first book on action star Jackie Chan in 1997. "I've watched this sport grow from day one and have been part of that growth in numerous capacities," said Gentry. "With SUN's new direction and business plan, I'm in a great position to apply my expertise to create real brand value and look forward to building towards our success." SUN also added Bruce J. Scambler, Director of Corporate Affairs and Legal. Mr. Scambler is a CPA with over 28 years of business experience. He has been an Officer and Director of numerous public companies in the United States and the United Kingdom in the past 20 plus years. Scambler stated, "I'm delighted to help play a role in the continued growth and expansion strategies of SUN and their numerous MMA properties." Mr. Scambler received a degree in law from Bristol University, Bristol, England, and an MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School in Glasgow, Scotland. He served as a pilot officer in the Royal Air Force from 1977-1979. His community involvement includes working as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), Board Member Court Appointed Special Advocates, and is a Lay Reader with All Souls Episcopal Church. |
